CraftyPod: How to Make a Felted Sweater Trivet

  • pam · 2 months ago
I remember you and I sitting together making yoyos out of Christmas fabrics - so long ago. I think you made me a wreath! I don't seem to have it any longer - you don't have it hidden in the back of a closet somewhere do you?

When you told me about this project, I couldn't wait to see what you would come up with! I love the trivet. And I bet when not in use it is lovely just to touch and feel the texture of all that soft felted wool.

I love the idea of yo yo's from felted sweater scraps! I probably won't do a trivet, but I may do somethings else!

They definitely have lots and lots of possibilities!

If your felted sweaters do end up too stiff, you could just cut out the circles and layer them (no gathering) like the old penny rugs.

with all the scrap fabric I have laying around, its odd I haven't made any yo-yos with them. they are so many uses for them. this has got my mind thinking, thanks :) hmm trying to think of Halloween uses. Could make pumpkins with them :)
